ARLT
Turnetable
Science fiction rumba, orchestral French chanson, post-punk rebetiko, minimal tropicalism, Creole madrigals, killer slow dances, telepathic pop: Soleil Enculé is Arlt's fourth album, more of a new beginning than a sequel. Since their first album, La Langue, Eloïse Decazes & Sing Sing have been one of the most surprising and captivating bands on the contemporary French underground scene. This new album brings together nine cheerful or melancholic songs in thirty minutes, but always radiant, lush, and sunny. Recorded in the supernatural joy of reunions and group encounters, Soleil Enculé was created by five people: the ever-brilliant guitarist Mocke, Ernest Bergez (Sourdure, Kaumwald, Orgue Agnès) on production, and Clément Vercelletto (Kaumwald, Orgue Agnès) on percussion, brass, wind instruments, and electronic ramblings.
