MOCKE
Parle Grand Canard

Four years after St-Homard, his last unanimously acclaimed album, Mocke returns with a third record that is more inspired than ever. His two previous albums had already demonstrated the genius of his guitar playing, his ever-changing and joyful inspiration, his mastery of instrumental collage, and his freedom. This fascinating Parle Grand Canard reveals the less polished side of a discography that is seriously beginning to take shape. Mocke worked with arranger Nicolas Worms to create orchestrations for wind, string, and wood instruments. This close collaboration gave rise to landscapes with unexpected contours, a palette of unique colors, impressionistic, brutal at times, but which speak volumes about the underlying mechanisms at work and the aesthetic ambitions. The mark of one of the most singular artists of our time.
